We went for a late night swim after dinner. The pool is beautiful and at that time of night, around 9:00pm it was empty. There were a couple of people doing laps, but other than that it was just me, John, and Gabby. After our swim, we sat back and relaxed next to the pool and had an interesting sight. An Asian man who appeared to be around 50 to 60 years old put his hands down on the edge of a fountain next to the pool and did a press to a handstand. He held it for at least 30 seconds, came down, and did a few laps in the pool. I think both Gabby and I were sitting with our mouths open when he finished the handstand.
Wanting to tell him how amazing he was, both Gabby and I approched him. As we got closer, I knew that he was definitely around retirement age. So, I asked, "Do you speak English?" I think he said, "Huh." in chinese, but he smiled. So, I told Gabby to do a handstand. Seeing this, he smiled bigger, and said, "Ah." He seemed to understand what we were getting at. We waved goodbye and smiled also. Body language says a lot.
