Thank God For Ambien

I probably haven't mentioned it yet, but we are staying at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou. It is very, very nice, but the beds are hard as a rock. According to John, that's very common in Asia.

Knowing that we were going to get Junie today and having jet lag, I figured that I would have difficulty sleeping. So, I took some Ambien with me on the trip. All I can say is it really works. One minute I was awake, the next I was asleep. There was no dozing off, just immediately going to sleep. It was wonderful. I woke up totally rested.

John and Gabby did pretty well too. Gabby insisted during our swim that she wasn't going to sleep, but she took some Benedryl and was out like a light. It was funny because I came out to turn of her TV, but couldn't find the remote. While I was rummaging around her bed, she sat up and said, "I'm not sleepy, my eyes are just bugging me." She didn't remember me looking for the remote at all this morning.
