Well, we had to do it. We had to make one last trip to Walmart before we left. We needed food for the guinea pigs before we dropped them off at the sitter's and a few other things. The pigs are going to spend the next three weeks in one of our friend's classrooms. Her classroom has children from kindergarten through second grade so the pigs won't be bored.
We also did some gift shopping today for our trip. It is customary to give gifts in Asia to show respect and to build relationships. The gifts do not need to be expensive. It is truly the thought that counts. Since we live in a touristy area, we were able to find some really unique, yet inexpensive gifts for the nannies and government officials.
We haven't actually packed anything yet, but we have everything laid out and ready to go. All we need to do is divide everything up between the bags and stuff it in.
